(The great Day of the Feast)
On the eighth day
The large number of animals offered each year is especially notable at the Feast of Tabernacles (199 animals in eight days). Besides animals, according to one estimate, the Israelites offered annually over a ton of flour and over 1,000 bottles of oil and wine.
The Feast of Tabernacle (ingathering, Booth Sukkot) held on 15 Tishri is remember in symbolic and colourful ways. The children of Israel relied entirely on the provision of YHWH Almighty with all their clothes and shoes did not wear out (Deut 29:5 and they and their flocks did not lack for food or water (Neh. 9:15,20-21)
In the present we see the sukkoth in John 1:14; 14:23b; 17:23; Hebrews 8:1, 2, 10 ; . Hebrews 13:5 Jeremiah 31:33 (Prophetic) and God send His Holy Spirit to dwell in the heart of His people.
The three pilgrim feast are Pesach, Shavuot and Sukkoth are the major feast of God's appointed time (Moed). In the Torah, HaShem gave a series of instruction. Part of their duty was to sacrifice a total of 70 Bulls during the Feast of Tabernacle. The Jewish Rabbis said that the 70 bulls represent the 70 nation that descended from Noach, the world. The Hebraic Scholars said these were sacrificed for the shalom and well being of the Goyim that the God of Avraham, Isaac and Jacob. Perhaps the some of the Jews people may not aware of this. Today the God fearing Gentiles believer who believe in the Messiah of Yisrael have been grafted in to Olive branch and have become adopted Ben Avraham By faith(Galatians 3:29)
According to the Prophet Zechariah in the Millennial (last day) this Feast of Tabernacle will be an International Holiday (Global).
"And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Yerushalayim shall even go up from year to year to worship the KING, the ADONAI TZEVA'OT (LORD of hosts Armies), and to keep the FEAST of SUKKOTH." (Zec 14:16 KJV)
A Promised future.
"And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them," (Rev 21:3 NNAS)
"and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."" (Rev 21:4 NNAS)
"Then He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost." (Rev 21:6 NNAS)
